Notifiable Disease
For the week ended noon to-day five Cases •of notifiable disease —one each of trachoma, tuberculosis', paratyphoid, typhoid and erysipelas—were reported' in the East Cape healtli district. Rotary Conference Report To-day's Rotary Club luncheon gathering heard a short and interesting report from the president of the Gisborne club, Rotarian J. O. Musgrave. on the district conference in , Napier, He expressed keen appreciation of the manner in which the clubs in Napier arid Hastings had organised the conference andi its collateral functions, and recommended members of the Gisiborne club to study carefully the reports of addresses given at the conference, the selection of speakers having been one of the triumphs of the occasion. Rotarians’ wives were received with the utmost cordiality, he added, and were the guests at functions organised by the Inner Wheel, a club formed by ladies of Hawke’s Bay associated with the Rotary movement. Rotarian Musgrave was accorded a vote of thanks for his Address at the instance of Rotarian J. E. Shimmin, who occupied the chair.
