RECORD ATTENDANCE
MARIST ANNUAL MEETING RASTER PREPARATIONS NEW PLAYERS ENROLLED A record number of players and supporters attended the sixth annual meeting of tlhc Maris! Brothers Old Boys Rugby Football Club, which was held last evening. Mr. K. F. Jones was in the chair. Arrangements for the trip to Wanganui for the Spillane Cup tournament, were discussed. Judging by the enthusiasm shown by all players, it is obvious that the club will field a strong team in Wanganui. The election of officers resulted: — Patron, Rev. Father McMahon; president, Mr. J. J. Martin; vice-presidents, Rev. Fathers Berridge and Fahy, Rev. Brothers Edwin, Denis and Vergilius, Messrs. D. J. Barry. S. Bardwell, M. J. Kyne, B. Moles, J. K. Popple, D. J. Parker, IT. B. Gardner, J. Weston, J. Heeney, E. Warren and T. Barry: joint secretaries, Messrs. W. Hoy and J. Shone; club captain, Mr. E. OTIalloran; lion, auditor. Rev'. Brother Edwin; delegate to Poverty Bay Rugby Union, Mr. K. F. Jones; committee, Messrs. D. Heeney, R. Quinn, IT. Duckworth, A. Toye, N. Lee and T. O'Brien; senior coach', Mr. P. Brady; delegates to the annual meeting of 'the Poverty Bay Rugby Union, Messrs. K. F. Jones, W. Hoy "and J. Shone; team organisers, senior, Messrs. E. O'Halloran and P. Brady, junior, Mr. T. O'Brien, third grade, Mr. A. Toye.
The club will hold its first training muster on the Childers Road Reserve at 2 p.m. next Saturday.
At the conclusion of the meeting several new players were enrolled.
