DEFENCES OF DOMINIONS
SHARING OF THE BURDEN MAY EASE NAVY'S TASK (Reed. March 14, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 13. The Daily Telegraph, commenting editorially on the proposed Pacific defence talks by New Zealand, Australia and Britain, says that the determination of the two Dominions to organise for their own defence is no more, than might be expected, but none the less, it is gratifying. The main burden must, in any case, fall on the British Navy, but its task will toe much less onerous toy preparedness on the part of the Dominions to meet an emergency and toy concerted strategy with the home country, states the Telegraph.
