AUTUMN FLOWER SHOW

PUHA W.I. FUNCTION fio'QT) ENTRIES IiIOCRTVIOD JUDOES PRAISE EXHIBITS (Humid Correspondent.) The Puha Women's Institute held a very successful open autumn flower -how last Thursday. Good oniric-; were received in all sections, and. despite the recent dry spell, some beautiful dahlias and mixed flowers were exhibited. The judge of the cooking section. Mrs. G. Scrags, Patutahi, praised highly all the entrants ki her section, and said the cooking was really up to a very high standard. There were large entries in the needlework and knitting classes, some beautiful work being shown. Original thrift and a splendid display of crafts were much admirad. There were also good collections of fruit and vegetables. The committee, under the leadership of the president, Mrs. Geo. Bayley, was complimented on the success of the function. Miss N. Coates acted as secretary, and the stallholders were: —WorkstalU Mesdames Greatbatch and Thompson; produce, Mrs. G. Sefton: icecream and sweets, Misses K. Cameron and M. Newing. A delicious lunch and afternoon tea were served by Mesdames G. Bayley and A. Cameron and helpers. AWARDS IN DETAIL Flowers
