GOVERNOR SEEKS RULING
IMPORT REGULATIONS
TRADERS' CHALLENGE
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day
The ruling of the Attorney-General, •the Hon. H. G. R. Mason, on the validity of the Government's import .control regulations is being obtained by the Governor-General, Lord Galway, following the receipt of the importers' petition early this month.
A clause in the petition on which •the Attorney-General is being consulted states that there exists a very grave doubt as to whether the import regulations are intra vires and valid.
