TOUR OF AUSTRALIA RETURN VISIT IN 1940 (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. (Negotiations have been proceeding for closer co-operation between the university .students of Australia and New Zealand and the New Zealand University Students' Association has received advice that the Australian National Union of Students has adopted a proposal by which a New Zealand university debating and lecturing team will tour Australia this year, while an Australian team will return the visit in 1940. The team will consist of two students. The New Zealand team will leave for Sydney about the middle of June and return six weeks later. It will thus spend approximately five weeks in Australia. Visits will be paid to live universities, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart, to Canberra and several country cities. It will debate with university and other teams and will also lead informal discussions at the various universities. They will .also act as the New Zealand University Students' Association representatives in Australia and will discuss further schemes for co-operation with the Australian universities. There are prospects Of visits by sporting teams and also travel tours by student parties, ibut as yet no definite decisions have been made.
