LATE SHIPPING
London.—March 12: Arrived, at Bristol, Cumberland: at Vancouver. Aorangi. Sailed, Port St. John, from New York; Hertford, .from Liverpool HARBOUR BEACONS An important contribution toward increasing the safety factor for shipping frequenting the port of Greymouth by installing neon gas lights in place of electric lights on navigation beacons was decided upon at the monthly meeting of the Greymouth Harbour Board. Mr. J. Ryall presided. Improvements to the navigation lights at the port were the subject of a report, from the engineer, Mr. D. C. Milne, in whose recommendations the harbourmaster. Captain 11. Moar, concurred. It was decided that the engineer's recommendations be carried out in their entirety. In. rtpiy to Mr. A. H. McKane, the engineer said that some of the signs on Greymouth business premises would 1 have to be eliminated or altered.
