HAWKE'S BAY VISIT
KAHUTIA SUCCESSES TOUtfTNG WOMEN BOWLERS A successful visit to Hawke's Bay bowling clubs was paid by a rink from the Kahutia Women's Bowling Club, led by the president, Mrs. C. Corlett. The Kahutia team consisted of Mesdamcs Corlett, McLaughlan. secretary, Dunlop and Davy. Gardes were played with women bowlers from the Heretaunga and Port Ahuriri clubs, the visitors proving too strong for the Hawke's Bay players. Playing Heretaungfl on a fast and true green the Kahutia rink won by 11 to seven after a hard game, while the Port Ahuriri rinks were do featcd by 21 to 15 and 23 lo Hi. There was no play on Friday, the last day of the visit, owing to the inclement weather. At function held in the port Ahuriri club pavilion an invitation ' send a team lo Gisborne was extended j to the Port players by Mrs. Corlett. J It is hoped to make the inter-club 1 games an annual fixture.
