AIR RAID PRECAUTIONS
CONTACTS IN BRITAIN E VACUATION SCH EMES (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m.- RUGBY, March 11. "The Minister of Health, Mr. W. E. Elliot, whose department is responsible for the Government's evacuation scheme and also for creating organisations through which air raid casualties will be treated, conferred to-day with the local authorities in Cornwall. The conferences follow similar discussions in Devonshire yesterday, both counties being reception areas to which London children will be sent in event of an emergency. Conferences of this kind have already been held in Oxford, Bristol, Cardiff and others will be held in Newcastle, Cambridge, Leeds and Nottingham.
