MOTOR-CYCLE CLUB PROGRAMME ARRANGED (Spnclnl to '.ho Horald.) WAIROA, this day. For the purpose of discussing the programme of events for the motorcycfe sports meeting on Easter Monday there was a large and enthusiastic attendance at a meeting of the Wairoa Motor-Cycle Club.
The following programme was drawn up:—Five-lap novice race, trophy valued at £2; six-lap open race, trophy valued at £4; seven-lap open race, cup to be donated by Mr. R. Duley; eight-lap open challenge cup race, trophy to be won three times at intervals, or twice in succession; two-mile bicycle race, cup valued at £2 and donated by Mr. Steve Whitehead; , six-lap open race, trophy valued at £4 10s; seven-lap open race, trophy valued at £5; five-lap consolation race, trophy valued at £2.
it was decided that a second prize should be allocated to every race with five or more starters. All riders must wear helmets. Endeavours would be made to hold a dance on the evening of the sports. The appointment of officials to conduct the meeting was held over until the next meeting.
