Black Thread, Pennycomequick and Raana will go to Tauranga. if present intentions are adhered to. Black Thread Sprints The first-named is in great order and on Saturday morning sprinted five furlongs in 1.3 2-5, going easily throughout. The other two were sent seven furlongs and took 53sec. for the last.halfmile. Raana is a much-improved gelding and his turn is not far off. Hawke’s Bay Contingent Bold Step and Reay Bridge are to make their next appearance at Hawke’s Bay. They were responsible for a solid half-mile on Saturday morning in 52see. Minnow, who took 58sec. for four furlongs, has completely recovered from her injured leg and will also make ihe Hawke’s Bay trip. Still another pair for Hawke’s Bay are ‘Mimicry and Okawa. They were restricted to pace work on Saturday, but there is nothing wrong with their condition. For Trentham Blonde Princess lias freshened up nicely and will be in good order for her Trentham engagements. Sly Fox is being hacked about but will not be asked to do anything serious until the tracks become softer. Tauranga Trip Trainer J. White will make the Tauranga trip with Dutch Ace and Gazeful. Jayola will be on hand for the Bay of Plenty meeting and is reported to. bo in excellent order. Illinois’ owner-trainer, Mr. R. Arundel, has decided not to persevere with her further, and she will probably be used as a brood mare. Whakao. who ran a couple of good races in district events on the Coast circuit, has joined J.
