Dancing Pirate and Great Don outdistanced the favourite, Coquette, in the Temuka Handicap, which opened the Timaru Trotting Club's autumn meeting on Saturday. The weather was dull alter a fair fall of rain, and the track hard. Invigorator, the least-backed fancy, created a great surprise by winning 4 the New Zealand Trotting Stakes with a lead of 100yds.
