DOG TRIALS BALL

TOLAGA BAY SUCCESS DEBUTANTES PRESENT ATTRACTIVE DECORATIONS (Ilerald Correspondent.) Always the most colourful and impressive social event of the year in Tolaga Bay is the Dog Trials Ball. Due entirely to the untiring efforts of Mrs. O. G. James and her willing helpers, Thursday night saw the Reynolds Hall presented at its best to the many dancers, the ball being an outstanding success. Hanging streamers and greenery decorated the hall, while the stage was relieved with greenery and bowls of, flowers. Skeets' orchestra, Gisborne, supplied the music. The following five debutantes were present:— Miss B. Cranswick, who wore an ivory taffeta frock with a fitting bodice and a full rucked skirt. The square neckline was daintily trimmed with rucking to match the skirt. She carried a very dainty powder blue ostrich fan. Miss P. Cranswick wore a pretty tafi'eta gown, with white background with crimson chrysanthenums, semifull skirt, and puffed sleeves. She carried a Victorian posy. Miss D. Dunlop's dainty lace frockhad satin appliqued flowers on a circular skirt. The appliqued effect was introduced again into the full puffed sleeves. She carried a dainty posy in pastel shades. Miss E. Prebble, wore a becoming triple net frock. The full skirt was daintily trimmed with narrow satin ribbon and pastel-shaded flowers. A Victorian posy was carried in her hand. Miss K. Mcintosh's becoming frock of embossed satin had a square neckline finished with sprays of roses. The skirt was shirred into the waist, giving , graceful lines. She carried a dainty Victorian posy.
