(Herald Correspondent.) Prior to the Dog Trials Ball a dinner party in honour of the debutantes was given at Kowhai Tops station by the Misses HJ. and J. Bartram. The dining-room, tastefully decorated with greenery, balloons and Chinese lanterns, presented a scene of happy festivity. Miss J. Burt, a recent visitor to Kowhai Tops, has returned to Christchurch.—Mr. and Mrs. P. D. Ryan are visiting Hawke'.s Bay. —Mr. Holmes has joined the staff of the Tolaga Bay High School.
