SOCIAL CLUBS' GAME GISBORNE AND NAPIER COSMOPOLITANS AT rLAY In the fourth annual match played by tteams representing the Napier and Gisborne Cosmopolitan 1 Clubs respectively, plaved in Wairoa during the week-end, "the Gisborne team was successful on the first innings by a margin of an innings and 25 runs. Napier bauect first, and ran up a total of 157 runs, of which T. Moss notched 54 and J. Ellis 32. Lockett, Beer and Wilkie shared the howling honours for Gisborne. In the Gisborne innings, which yielded 182, E. Bridge made 50 and G. N. Lockett 41, the latter playing a decidedly cautious knock except for his last three scoring strokes, which yielded a two, a four, and a six respectively.
