AUDIENCE WITH KING
SECRETARY FOR INDIA EVACUATION CAMP HEAD (British Official Win'less.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Mar. 9 The Secretary for India, the Marquess of Zetland, was received in audience by the King at Buckingham Palace this evening. Earlier to-day the King received Lord Portal, who has been appointed chairman of the corporation which is to be responsible for the holiday camps in connection with the Government's evacuation scheme and Air Marshal Sir William Mitchell, on his appointment as Commander-in-Chie' of the Royal Air Force in the Middle East.
