SHEEP DOG TRIALS
TOLAGA BAY MEETING LONG HEAD TO P. BARKER (Special to tlio Herald.) TOLAGA BAY, this day. The first class in the annual field trials of the Tolaga Bay Sheepdog Trials Club was completed last evening, competition being close, and success falling to P: R. Barker’s Bob, with a total of 54 points of a maximum 60.
Some delay has occurred in the conduct of the meeting owing to the late arrival of some of the entrants, but'the later classes should be disposed of with greater dispatch. The Tolaga Bay meet is the first of the season for the Poverty Bay district, and always has been a popular fixture, this year’s general entry being well up to the average.
