FLOODLIGHT TOURNAMENT
SOM ERVELL’S RINIC WINS
A floodlight bowling tournament held on the Kahutia green on Wednesday night resulted in a win for Morgan, Hands, D. McKenzie and C. Somervell (s). At the conclusion of the third round Armstrong and Somervell’s rinks had each gained three wins and these teams met in the final, which was won by Somervell. The scores were: —
First Round— Marsh, F. Wilson. R. Graham, A. L. Moore <s) 8 v. D. Hands, Dower, Waite, 11. Armstrong (s) 7; R. Somervell, W. D. McLaughlan. C. McLachlan, R. Jenkins <s) -1 v. H. Walker, Duley. McGregor, P. Meredith <s) 7: J. Robinson, Sinclair, McKessar. S. McKenzie (s> 6 v. Morgan. Hands. D. McKenzie, C. Somervell <s) 8: Ellis, Marlow, Campbell. W. Jackson (s) 7 v. Swan. Corlet. Patty, Beckett (s) G. 'Second Round—McKenzie 8 v. Jackson 3; Somervell 8 v. Beckett 3; Moore 10 v. Jenkins 9: Armstrong 8 v. Meredith 5.
Third Round. —McKenzie 10 v Beckett 9; Somervell 7 v. Jackson 5 Moore 7 v. Meredith 5; Armstrong 9 v. Jenkins 8. Final.— .Armstrong 1 v. Somervell
