The membership of the Hawke's Bay Automobile Association now totals 6203, 109 new members having joined the association during February. ' There were only 12 cancellations of membership during the month making the increase 97. Football Versus Marriage "That settles it. No more of you must get married. This wedding business is the ruination of Rugby football,” remarked the president of the Hastings Rugby Football Club, Mr C. J. Baker, at the annual meeting last evening, when a member of the gathering declined a position as junior coach owing to “home ties.” When the person concerned later consented to accept office in a minor position, Mr. Baker, amid loud laughter, asked: “Can you spare the time when the wife is away?”
