TWENTY SHEEP KILLED
RAIDS BY STRAY DOGS More than 20 sheep have been killed and a number injured on farms at Tuahiwi, Flaxtoq, and Woodend, Canterbury, by what are described as two cattle dogs, apparently strays. Fairly extensive damage to flocks has been reported because of the worrying, the last outbreak having been within the last few days.
The owner of one of the farms, at Tuahiwi, Mrs. E. Hudson, lost 20 sheep, ewes and lambs, in two raids by dogs which were seen by neighbours. The number of sheep killed included about eight lambs, and several others were so badly injured tha they are useless.
