ESCAPED PRISONER
The search lor the Maori, Tu Whakarara. who escaped from the Waikune prison camp a week ago, is being continued in the rough scrub country to the south of Taumarunui, but so far without success. There was a report on Monday that he had been seen in the area between Kakahi and Punga Punga, but, although the search was extended to cover that locality, the fugitive was not seen again.
