MANY CITATIONS WAIROA COUNTY PROTESTS (Special to the Herald.) WAIROA. this day. It was decided at the monthly meeting of the Wairoa County Council yesterday to forward a letter to the Minister of Labour protesting against the large number of citations whicn were being continually forwarded in labour disputes. The question arose as a result of a letter from the conciliation commissioner giving notice of citation of the council as a party in connection With a dispute between the New Zealand Federated 'Labourers and Related Trades Industrial Association of Workers and local bodies. “They are only looking for grievances to argue on.” stated Cr. D. V Thomas. The opinion was expressed that county council employees should be governed by one award only, road not a number as at present.
