RETIRING THIS MONTH
POST OFFICE CHIEF mr. cl McNamara - (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. The Postmaster-General, the Hon. F. Jones, announces that Mr. G. McNamara, Director-General of the P. and 1 T. Department, ‘commences leave on retirement on March 31 at which time he will have completed 42iJ years’ service.
Mr. Jones, in expressing the regret of the Government and the country in losing Mr. McNamara's valuable services, expresses appreciation of his action in having continued at the Government's request as director-general after giving notice of his intention to retire after Ms 40 years of service.
