CYCLE RACE WITH PAPERS

INTER-ISLAND CONTEST

(IVr Prtjss Association.) WELLINGTON, this dav. Application forms for the Centennial Boy Scout Jamboree at Wellington in December and January are ‘now 'being circulated throughout New Zealand by the jamboree organisers.

The forms must be filled in and ready for return by June .10 and their collection will be the occasion of a groat cycle race. North Island versus South Island, over approximate 1- / equal courses from Nor.'n Auckland to Wellington on the one hand and from BUnT to Blenheim on the other.

Details for ihe cycle race have not yet oeen announced, but the idea is that, from every Boy Scout headquar.ers, the local applications .shall be taken to the nearest spot on the route

and handed over to the racers for delivery, the race being to see which island can collect its forms most smartly.

Meantime the jamboree officers are preparing a site at Here*aunga. At Easter a Rover Scout moot will be held there and some hundreds of Rovers from all over New Zealand will attend. The moot will be opened by Sir Robert Clark 'lTall. The Rovers w ; ll carry on the work, now well advanced, of preparing the jamboree site.
