CENTRE BOWLS
SENIOR AND JUNIOR FOURS SATURDAY'S MATCH KM Two centre bowling competitions, Champion of Champion Fours and Junior Fours, will be held on the Poverty Bay green on Saturday, when representatives of the three town clubs, and one rink each from Wairoa and Te Karaka will contest the centre titles. The Wairoa team, which will be competing in the senior competition, has not been announced, but the other representatives will be: — Gisborne Bowling Club.—Seniors: Surgenor, O'Brien, Park and Stephenson ($). Juniors: Wickens, Hall, Quigley and Butcher (s). Poverty Bay Bowling Club.— Seniors: Fredericks, Hickman, Slight and McKenzie (s). Juniors: Lange, C. Smith, Strawbridge and Campbell (s). Kahutia Bowling Club.—Seniors: 11. Wootton, R. B. Watt, C. Somervell, ,J. Newton (s). Juniors: Gooch, Hands, J. Robertson, R. Patty (s). Te Karaka Bowling Club.—A. Buckingham <s). D. Manuel, W. McGrannachan, H. Buckingham. Play in the two competitions will start at 9 n.m. and the draw for the first round has been announced as follows: — Champion of Champions.—Wairoa v. Poverty Bay; Kahutia v. Gisborne; Te Karaka, a bye. Juniors. Poverty Bay v. Gisborne; Kahutia, a bye.
