DECLINE IN EXPORTS
JANUARY FIGURES (Spoeinl to the Herald.) WELLINGTON, this day. A sharp contraction in New Zealand’s overseas trade is shown in the returns for January, which were released yesterday by the Customs Department. Exports during the month worn valued at £8,211,000, a decrease of £1.282.000. compared with January, 1933. Imports at £4,723,000 were down by £BBI,OOO.
