STATUTORY HALF-HOLIDAY
WAT APU COUNTV ( I!AX (I E (11tsralil Oom-Kpomli-nt.) The Waiapu County Council at a special January meeting decided to appoint Saturday as the future statutory half-holiday for shops within the County of Waiapu and by notice in tiie Gazette the change becomes operative as from March 13. Hitherto for many years Thursday has been observed and the change brings this part of the Coast into line with the Borough of Gisborne and other centres.
