BIRTH CONTROL PARADOX
TORONTO, Jan. 18. Increasing population by teaching birth control may sound paradoxical, but, according to Mrs. Alva Myrdal, president of the Swedish Federation of Business and Professional Women, that is her country’s plan. Mrs. Myrdal is here for a meeting of the American Birth Control League. In addition to dispensing birth control information, Sweden is instituting free maternity care and State subsidised housing in buildings containing nursery schools, kindergartens and playgrounds.
