CAR AND LORRY
COLLISION NEAR TAUPO
Three occupants of a fivc-seater sedan motor car had a fortunate escape from, serious injury when it was involved in a collision with a motor lorry loaded with timber on the Taupo-Napier highway, about three miles from Taupo, on Saturday afternoon. The car, which was travelling toward Taupo, was driven bv Mr. A. M. Bisley, who had with him as passengers Messrs. A. Fow and B. Pomeroy, all of Hamilton. Mr. Pomeroy escaped injury, but Messrs. Fow and Bisley suffered cuts and bruises necessitating medical attention. The driver of the lorry, Mr. D. Neilson, of Rangitaiki, escaped injury. Both vehicles were extensively damaged.
