LOW EGG PRICES
i The price of eggs in Gisborne at present, Is 3d per -dozen retail, is particularly low for this time of the year and also when compared with rates | ruling in some of the cities. .In Auck- | land, for instance, first grade eggs are 'retailing at 2s 4d, the Dunedin price . being 2s Bd. For some time, the price of eggs in Gisborne reached 2s a dozen retail, but last week there was a mild rush of supplies, causing the sudden fall of 4d per dozen. Supplies have steadied down now, however, and a return of higher values may be expected before Easter, according to an opinion expressed by a leading grocer.
