SOUTHLAND LINCOLN STUD
flock changes hands One of the oldest flocks of Lincoln sheep in New Zealand, that of Mr. J. S. Marshall, Invercargill, has been purchased for a Manawatu sheen station. Mr. E. St. C. Haydon, stud stock manager of Daigety and Company, reports the sale of the flock to Messrs. Voss Bros., Palmerston North. Its history dates back to the time when the New Zealand and Australian Land Company sold its Moeraki flock for shipment to Australia, when Mr. Marshall purchased the five-year-old ewes. Later Sir William Perry selected sires for Mr. Marshall from the flocks of Mr. A. E. Anderson and Mr. Donald. Messrs. Voss Bros, last year bought the well-known Lincoln stud flock of Mr. G. V. Smith, Gisborne.
