THE WEATHER Labi Night's Forecast General Situation: The recent depression is now centred near Chatham Island, where pressure is low. An anti-cyclone covers the western Tasman and is moving eastward. Forecast: Winds .south-west to .southerly, .strong at first in some exposed positions, especially in the South Island, but decreasing and, for the most part, light to moderate. Seas: 111 New Zealand waters, rather rough to rough at first on the west coast and in the far south, but decreasing gradually and, elsewhere, slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman: Light to moderate southerly winds, later turnin" west and north-west in the southern portion: seas, slight to moderate.
