SERIOUS CLASH OF ARMS ITALY AND FRANCE AIMS OF MUSSOLINI AFRICAN CONCESSIONS

The Daily Telegraph says it is stated in all quarters that there is not the slightest danger of the dispute between Italy and France concerning Corsica, Nice and the North African possessions developing into war. It .seems to bo the general conviction in Government circles, however, that Signor Mussolini, with German support will obtain some sort of satisfaction.
The Paris correspondent of the Daily Telegraph sp.vp. that the departure of the liners Sphinx for the Far East and Chantilly for Madagascar were delayed in order to embark a battalion of 850 Sengalese Rifles for Djibouti. The destroyer Epervier, at present in the eastern Mediterranean, has been ordered to Djibouti to join the Diberville, already en route from Beirut.
The French Foreign Office announces that a topographical mission is being dispatched to survey the illdefined frontier between French Somaliland adjoining the Italian possessions.
The Rome correspondent of the British United Press says that sources close to the French Embassy state that Signor Mussolini will seek the good offices of the British .Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, with France to secure a large measure Of autonomy for Italians in Tunisia; secondly, for permission to Italians freely to emigrate to Tunisia and buy land at present not cultivated; thirdly, the cessicri of the port of Djibouti and the sale to Italy of the railway; and fourthly, Italian participation in the management of the Suez Canal.
