In the Sheffield Shield cricket game against South Australia, Queensland’s second innings realised 311 runs. Brown was 174 not out, Cook scored 55, and Baker 43. Grimmett took three wickets for 96 runs, Ward three for 106 and Cotton two for 62.
Queensland’s first innings had yielded 131 runs.
South Australia, who scored 462, won 'by an innings and 20 runs.
