HANDICAP TO BOMBING
HIGH SPEED FACTOR EXPERIENCE IN SPAIN (Reed. Dec. 29, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 28. The -Barcelona correspondent of the Daily Telegraph, in examining the merits of air offensives in modern warfare, points out that the Spanish experience has shown the great speec of the latest machines results in definite disadvantages. It makes bombing and machinegunning most difficult and necessitates larger reserves of skilled pilots and longer training. The correspondent adds that there 'have been examples of remarkably accurate bombing in Spain, but such performances have mostly occurred when no opposition has been offered from the ground defences.
