SEVERE BRITISH WINTER SNOW DELAYS TRAFFIC (British Official Wireless.)
Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Dec. 21. Snow fell throughout the day in London and over southern England, causing considerable traific and railway delays. The maximum temperature in London was 28 degrees Fahrenheit. Yesterday, 25 degrees of frost were registered at Dalwhinnil, Scotland.
Another 15 deaths have occurred throughout Britain from the cold.
London’s underground services were dislocated for an hour as a result of short circuits at frozen points. London is under inches of snow for the first time for years. Some of the country districts are under several feet of snow. Throughout Britain, the maximum temperature is 28 degrees and the minimum 12 degrees.
Channel services are dislocated. The Continent continues to freeze.
