PRODUCTION DOUBLED
BRITISH WARPLANES SPEEDING UP NEXT YEAR (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Dec. 21. The Secretary for Air, Sir Kingsley Wood, stated in the House of Commons to-day that during 1938 the monthly rate of aircraft production had been more than doubled and was showing a marked upward trend. He added that this greatly improved position would be further improved in 1939.
