DANCING EXAMS.

ROYAL ACADEMY AWARDS SUCCESSFUL ENTRANTS Advice has been received by Miss Bobbie Scott, Gisborne. ol successes gained by oupils of her dancing academy in the recent Royal Academy of Dancing examinations conducted in Gisborne by Miss Scully, Sydney. The examiner congratulated MisScott on being the first member oi the academy to open a school in Gisborne, and on the success of the pupils who submitted themselves lotexamination. The tests were from Grade I to Grade V, in the higher division, and of the nine pupils coached by Miss Scott, five gained passes, as under:—Grade I.—W. Farer, J. Bell, and ,1. Turnbull. Grade ?,.—T. Pulis and L. Sheen. Grade 4.—L. Sheen. The studio cup for the pupil scoring highest marks in the tests was awarded to J. Turnbull. None of the examinees had been coached for,more /than six months.
