Further details have been reported concerning the assassination in Sofia of Major General Peef, the Chief of Staff of the Bulgarian Army, and Major Stoyanoff, an aide-de-camp, who were shot in the street outside the Ministry of Justice in the middle of the afternoon yesterday. The Sofia correspondent of the Daily Telegraph reports that the assailant was named Kirofr and not Vlasseff as at first reported, and it is now disclosed that his attempt to commit suicide following the attack was not immediately successful as was at first thought.
