EXTENSION OP STAY "Tiger" Parks, American negro welterweight boxer, who has been in New Zealand for a couple of seasons, has Been granted an extended stay in the country by the New Zealand Government, on condition that he acts in the capacity of instructor .in conjunction with Mr. J. Donoghue, to the Miramar Boxing Club, and that he participates m no more professional bouts in •he Dominion. He will be allowed to siay in New Zealand until the end of May.

Parks, although lie did not do a great deal of boxing in his first season here, has been in demand this year, and if his performances in the Wellington ring can be taken as any guide he is one of the best welterweights seen in action in the Dominion ror a number of years. A very clever defensive boxer and capable of hitting very hard and quickly, he lias been a definite draw.

CNUSEAE ENDING TO BOUT

Speedy Cabartclla (Bst. 101 b) was declared the winner against Tony Mack (9st), in tiie sixth round of a contest arranged for eight rounds, at the Hushcutter Bay Stadium recently, states the Sydney Morning Herald. The contest had an unusual ending.
