CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR
MELBOURNE CONVENTION TEN THOUSAND ATTEND (Reed. Aug. 4, 9 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Aug. 4. The bright turbans of Indians mingled with shock-headed South Sea islands at the Town Hall yesterday when the Lord Mayor of Melbourne welcomed oversea delegates to the Christian Endeavour congress. The convention yesterday considered group conferences and other aspects of Christian Endeavour work. An important part of the convention is a missionary exhibition in which visitors are shown the work of missions from Central Australia to China, Papua and Paraguay. The British and Foreign Bible Society has a particularly fine display. Ten thousand people attended the main convention meeting last night.
