Wainui, southern ports, August _lO. Zealandic, Wellington, August 15. COASTAL TRADE The Pukeko reached Gisborne about 2.30 p.m. to-da.v from Auckland, via Hicks Bay and Tokomaru Bay. If weather conditions permit she will sail to-night for Napier, thence Auckland. The Pakura is due at Gisborne tomorrow morning from Lyttelton, via Wnikokopu and Napier. After leaving Gisborne site will probably make a call at Tokomaru Bay before going on to Wellington. The Awahou is expected to arrive at Gisborne on Saturday from Wellington, via Napier. The Wainui. from Dunedin and Oamaru, was expected to leave Timaru last night for Lyttelton, and Wellington to complete loading for Napier and Gisborne. The vessel is due here about. Wednesday next. The Margaret W. reached Tokomaru Bay early this morning from Auckland. She is expected at Gisborne at (1 o’clock to-night and il is hoped to dispatch her to-morrow evening for Auckland. HOMEWARD LOADINGS Gisborne Roadstead Port Hardy (Port Line; agents, Gisborne Shoepfarulers') continued loading in the Gisborne roadstead to-day. but some interruptions were occasioned by the showery conditions. It is expected that, weather permitting, the ship will depart this evening for Wellington. her final loading port. Zealandic (Shaw, Savill; agents. Common, Shelton and Company), loads meat and gen rat cargo at Gisborne on August 15 for London, and leaves the same day for Home, via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. SOUTHERN CROSS VII The Melanesian Mission motor ship Southern Cross VII is expected to read) Auckland from Melanesia about the end of this month for refit. The Bishop of Melanesia, the Rt. Rev. W. 11. Baddeley, is to arrive at Wellington from Sydney shortly after the middle of the month and will proceed to Auckland, where he is to remain for several davs before making a short tour of the Dominion.
