CANTERBURY’S EASY WIN
NORTH OTAGO TROUNCED TWENTY-SEVEN TO SIX (Per Press Association.) OAMARU, this day. Canterbury outclassed North Otago in a representative Rugby match at the showgrounds on Saturday, running up a score of 27 points to six. The defence of the home backs, with the exception of Anderson, w'as poor. Hadlee, Canterbury, was the star performer, running the wings into position nicely for Stevenson to score three tries - and Empson one. Rankin played a roving game and scored a try. Herman w'as the outstanding Canterbury forward who also’ scored a try. Hadlee converted two tries and kicked a penalty goal, and White converted a try. North Otago’s points came from two penalty goals kicked by J. Easton.
