SIR D. SHACKLETON DEAD
NOTED LABOUR FIGURE (Elec. Tel. Copyright —United Pr„«« '*•« ’ LONDON, Aug. 2. The death has occurred of Sir David Shackleton. He was 75 years of age He was the Labour member of the House of Common’s for Clitheroe, Lancashire, from 1902 to 1910. In 1905 he was the chairman of the National Labour Party and in 1903 ant' 1909 he was the president of the Trades Union Congress He war created C.B. in 1916 and K.C.B. in 1917.
