LOSS OF LICENSE
Part of the penalty imposed on a car driver charged in the Palmerston North Magistrate’s Court with driving in a dangerous manner was the cancellation of his driving license for 14 days. The defendant was James Shepherd, of Bulls, and, according to a traffic inspector, Mr. Hartigan, he was driving a lorry in a line of cars toward Palmerston North at 50 miles an hour. At Newbury he cut a corner. The magistrate also imposed a fine of £5.
