COTTON IMPORTS RISE
FALL IN WOOL DEMAND TREND IN BRITAIN (Eloc. Tel. Copyrielit—-TJuited Press Assu.) (Reed. Aug. 3, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 2. Britain is using more cotton and less wool according to the Imperial Economic Committee’s annual review. The increase in cotton imports in 1937 over 1936 was the highest of any recent year. Wool imports decreased by 130,000,0001b5., the total being the lowest since 1930.
