HUNTSMAN INJURED
SON OF SIR E. DAVIS
FALL AFTER JUMP

While following the hounds at the Pakuranga Hunt Club at Waiuku, Desmond Davis, the .only son of Sir Ernest and Lady Davis, fell from his horse after jumping a high fence and suffered severe injuries to his hack. The injured man was taken to the Waiuku Hospital in the Countess of Orford's motor car. After treatment Mr. Davis was brought to a private hospital In Auckland. He is expected to be confined to bed for .some time, hut is making a good recovery and a complete recovery is anticipated. Mr. Davis had successfully negotiated ,the fence in company with several other riders. His fall occurred immediately after the jump. While lying on the ground he was fortunate to escape being kicked "by his horse, which became very excited and lashed out violently.
