Many excellent individual tallies were recorded in the series of county cricket matches concluded to-day, the leader of a number of century-makers being Whitfield, who made 174 not out for Surrey against Yorkshire. Surrey won the match by 267 rims. A prominent bowling performance was that of Watt, who secured seven wickets for 55 runs in the first innings and seven for 35 in Hie second innings, bowling for Kent against Middlesex.

Playing for Derby against Notts, Worlhinglon made a century in each innings.

Details of scores in games concluded to-day are:—

Surrey in the first made 204 (Garland Wells 80). In the second they scored 383 for three wickets and declared (Whitfield 174 not out). Yorkshire in the first made 100 (Watts, four for 20) and in the second 285 (Turner 97; Berry, five for til). Surrey won by 202 runs. Notts in the first made 340 (Harris 115, Voce 111) and in the second 204 (Copson, seven for 59). Derby in the first made 340 (Worthington 103) and in the second scored 207 for one wicket (Worthington 110 not out). Derby won by nine wickets.

Glamorgan in the first made 170 and in the second 114 (Hollies, six for 34). Warwick in Hie first made 178 and in the second lost two wickets for 107. Warwick won by eight wickets.

Hampshire in the first put on 352 (Moore 109) and in the second declared with eight down for 235 (Moore 79). Somerset in the first scored 247 (Lyon 70) and in the second 243. Hampshire won by 97 runs.

Kent in the first compiled 21G (Fagg 77, Chalk 82: Grav, eight for 59"> and in the second 333 (Fagg 108). Middlesex in the first made 159 (Robins 83; Watt, seven for 55) and in the second 125 (Watt, seven for 35). Kent won bv 205 runs.

Smith, five for 51). Essex in the first scored 370 (Eastman 87. O'Connor 115 not out) and in the second lost three wickets for 110 runs. Essex won by seven wickets. Sussex in the first made 195 (Wilkinson, four for 18) and in flic second 212. Lancashire in the first ran up 412 for nine wickets and declared (Washbrook 135. Iddon 95). Lancashire won by an innings and five runs.
