Charged this morning before Mr. E. L. Walton. S.M., in the Children's Court with riding a motor-cycle in a manner dangerous to the public, a youth was fined 5s and costs 10s, and for riding a cycle not equipped with a warrant of fitness he was fined 5s and costs ss. The Transport Department's traffic inspector, Mr. R. Metcalfe, said that the defendant was carrying a gallon tin of oil on his machine and his hands were resting on the tin and not on the handlebars.
