Sir, —It may perhaps interest those who take an interest in this splendid ;r 3 me that in a lest match in London, somewhere about 18£6, the scores were very low and the game between England and Australia was finished by 0 pm. on the first day of that match. It was the fault of the cricket pitch. Hundreds of people were doomed to disappointment, having paid for tickets for the second and third days' play.— Yours, etc., CHARLES GOWLAND.
